How to Qualify for using Google Adsense?

Qualifying for Google Adsense represent an interesting matter, as the demands for acceptance a site are mostly common knowledge and are nothing extraordinary.

To qualify for using Google Adsense in your website all you need is a decent website with at least 10 to 15 web pages with qualifying content. Google specifies a list of topics for which they won't server Ads. Other than that there is no strict conditions such as how big the site should be and how much traffic should it attract. However a webmaster has to first understand Google's Terms of Service, in which Google outlines the Dos and Don'ts of using Adsense on your web site.

The webmaster need to be very careful before applying to Adsense and make sure that his website or blog indeed qualifies for Google Adsense. It is very difficult and frustrating to get into the program or reapply to the program, if you are once rejected. So here we outline some of the things you need to keep in mind before approching Google for Adsense (and to get success out of it, of course).

Content

You need to keep in mind that Google Adsense is there primarily for content-based sites. Websites that focus on pure product sales or only for Ads kinds of sites may not be proper for Adsense. Moreover, all you are promoting is your own product(s), then hosting Adsense might work against you, as the Ads that show up will be direct competitors. So it makes no sense in such cases. If you are building content that is useful for general website visitors, or content focused on specific topic (niche sites) then you will have good chance of succeeding with Adsense.

Forums & Blogs

Some blogs or forums may not be accepted. Still, if the forum or blog is information-rich then they are not only accepted, but may work really well with AdSense for their owners.

Google started with not accepting this type of sites. But it turned out that, in some cases, they represent exactly what users are looking for: Honest, useful, unbiased information, where anybody can express just what they truly think, and right when they feel the need to do it. On condition they are not artificially created for other purpose than that of letting their users interact in the world of ideas and benefit from each other's experience and knowledge.

Image Galleries

Image sites may host AdSense if the images are accompanied by as little as some brief explanatory lines, relevant for the Mediabot, the Googles Media crawler. But these may not yield good results compared to content sites.

Chat Sites

These are not suitable for Google Adsense and thay may not even allow these kind of small talk sites.

How Google Adsense Works?

Google Adsense advertising system invloves three different kinds of people:

  • Advertisers: Advertisers use Google Adwords program to advertise their Ads not only on the Google Search results, but also on the content pages of the external websites and blogs that participate in Google Adsense Program. They do this on either PPC (Pay-Per-Click) or CPM (Pay-Per-Thousand Impressions) basis. Advertisers can optionally select which websites they want their Ads to show on.

  • Publishers or Web site owners: Website owners and Blog owners participate in Google Adsense using which they place the Ads served by Google on their content web pages. They do this by placing a JavaScript provided by Google on their WebPages or blogs. Website owners has the option to choose various formats, colors and a whole lot of customization options using which they can control and blend the Ads according to the look of their websites. Google Adsense program also provides various performance monitoring options (such as channels) for website owners to track and maximise the performance of Ads on their web sites.

  • Website Visitors: When a visitor visits a Google Adsense Participant's website, they see relevant Ads along side the content. If the visitor clicks on any of these Ads, Google shares an undisclosed percentage of the cost of that click with the website owner.

Hence this is how we can summaries the process of how Adsense Program works:

  1. The website owner signs in to the program.

  2. Ads are placed on the website according to:

    • AdSense contextual selection and filtering criteria
    • the publisher's options (the publisher gets to filter ads)
    • the advertiser's option, in the case of impressions-based advertising (the advertiser can choose from a number of available sites)
  3. The publisher receives an undisclosed share of the revenue from the ads.

AdSense is based on the PPC and CPM advertising payment models.

Pay Per Click: AdSense PPC advertisments are text ads that appear on your website according to its contextual selection and filtering criteria. When a site visitor clicks on the ad, the advertiser is charged a small amount, of which Google keeps some and pays some to the website owner.

Pay-Per-Thousand Impressions (CPM): AdSense CPM ads are text or image ads and are site-targeted. The advertiser pays each time his ad is displayed on a page (every time Google ad code is executed by a user's browser). The same, each time an impression is registered, a share of the money goes to the publisher. In this case the advertiser gets to choose the sites on which his ads will show.

Here's how things are going to work behind the scenes: Google centralizes the advertisement through AdWords and uses a contextual targeting algorithm for their placement, that is, sorts them out so as to place them on sites with specific appropriate content.

The strategy lies in the reasoning according to which surfers that visit a page might be interested in finding additional info or products on that particular topic. And it works if the website is good enough for the purpose. Hense by having an attractive website and keeping visitors interested so they feel the need to go further and find out more by clicking on the ads, a Website or Blog owner can benefit from the Google Adsense program.

What is Google Adsense?

Adsense is an advertising program run by Google that allows the businesses to run their advertisements on the websites of the publishers who participate in the program. Website owners can enroll in the Adsense program and opt to display the text, image and video ads on their websites that are related to the content of their websites. Google takes care of administering their ads and generate revenue for the publishers on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis.

image

Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google's targeted ad system may sign up through AdWords. AdSense has become a popular method of placing advertising on a website because the ads are less intrusive than most banners, and the content of the ads is often relevant to the website. When a user clicks on any of the Ads displayed on the publishers website, Google shares a certain percentage of the cost that the Advertiser pays for that click with the publisher.

Currently, the AdSense uses JavaScript code to incorporate the advertisements into a participating site. If it is included on a site which has not yet been crawled by the Mediabot, it will temporarily display advertisements for charitable causes known as public service announcements (PSAs). Optionally the publisher can choose to display ads from a different website or simply to show a solid color if he don't want PSAs to show on his site.

Many websites and blogs use AdSense to monetize their content and this caused the creation of millions of niche based websites that focus on a specific niche and attract the visitors and ads related to that niche.

Web masters use several ways to monitise their websites and blogs. Some of them are:

  • They use a wide range of traffic generating techniques including but not limited to online advertising.
  • They build valuable content on their sites which attracts AdSense ads which pay out the most when they get clicked.
  • They use various techniques on their websites that encourage clicks on ads. However, Google prohibits people from using phrases like "Click on my AdSense ads" to increase click rates. Phrases accepted are "Sponsored Links" and "Advertisements".

The source of all AdSense income is the AdWords program which in turn has a complex pricing model based on a Vickrey second price auction, in that it commands an advertiser to submit a sealed bid (not observable by competitors). Additionally, for any given click received, advertisers only pay one bid increment above the second-highest bid.

Adsense for Search

Adsense for Search is a companion to the regular AdSense program, that allows website owners to place Google search boxes on their pages. When a user searches the web or the site with the search box, Google shares any ad revenue it makes from those searches with the site owner. However, only if the ads on the page are clicked, the publisher is paid. Adsense does not pay publishers for mere searches.

Top 10 Websites to Earn Money Online For Indians

One fine day Mr. Purna Duggirala left his high paying job and became a professional blogger when he saw that his blog is actually making more money than his regular job. This is yet another story of a professional blogger Purna, nicknamed Chandoo of Chandoo.org, where he writes how to effectively use Microsoft Excel.

There are many such examples where people have left high paying jobs and have started to earn full-time income from their home. One thing that is common among such stories is that they blog about something that they are extremely knowledgeable of, in case of Chandoo.org it was his expertise about Microsoft Excel. One another such example is of Mr. Amit Agarwal of Labnol.org who has great knowledge in all things technology, and he blogs about the same.

Before diving further let me warn you about another aspect in this; if a handful of them have made it to six-figure incomes right then there are scores of other people that have lost money and haven’t made a single cent.

There are all sort of bad advice out there in the cyberspace that 'promise' you’ll get overnight success. Nobody can guarantee that you’ll be able to replace your day job. But don't get discouraged, there are some websites where you can at least make some cash. These are not get rich quick type of sites (no website can guarantee that; one who guarantees is a scam), just like anywhere else it takes time and effort to make anything on the net.

So if you are a student, stay at home mom, or anybody who has some time to invest then you can make some money from the sites that I’m going to list below. So for all those who already have a day job don’t ever think to leave your current job to pursue make money online.

I'm not here to give you the ways that you can make money online, I'll be giving specific websites that you can sign-up, and that too absolutely free to get started.

From the last two years, I have been working part-time on the internet in some or the other way. I have never spent anything to earn on the net. I had that much in my head that I will get scammed if I pay. Don't ever spend money to earn money (pun unintended).

I'm writing this hub by keeping in my mind readers from India but all of the sites listed below allow people from anywhere, say for instance these sites allow people from Pakistan, Philippines, China etc.

Though explaining ever other thing or rule about the listed sites will be a far over-stretched for this article. So I will provide links pointing for each of them so that you will get additional information on that aspect.

Writing Articles Online

One of the most preferred ways to make money online is by writing content. If your written English is good, that is you have good grammar and can get your point fairly easily across the reader then you can write online.

Majorly there are two ways from where you can write and earn online. One is that you start your own blog and the other is to write articles for revenue-sharing websites.

1| Hubpages.com

The site on which you are reading this article is one such site where anybody can write articles and earn revenue generated on their article.image

There are many such revenue sharing website all over the web but Hubpages is by far the best site according to my experience.

There is a pre-requisite for getting started at Hubpages.com (aff. link), it is that you must have an approved Adsense account. Getting an adsense account requires you to have good content on your profile and you should be a member here for at least six months. However, this is not compulsory to get approved by Google Adsense. I got my adsense approved from a revenue sharing site within two months.

So practically you won't earn before getting approved. Once you get approved then you can make money. Have some thoroughly researched articles and I'm sure you'll get an adsense account pretty easily within six months.

There are also other ways to earn here like promoting products of amazon.com or ebay.com. More information on the links below.

To get how it works you must read voraciously about each and every aspect to understand the process. Learn about each and every thing.

Links to know more about:

  • Learning Center - This is the most useful for a newbie. Get every information about how you can get started here.
  • Hubpages Faq - To know about the rules and other information that you must know
  • If you still have a question to ask you can ask at the Q & A section.

2| Squidoo.com

Squidoo is also a revenue sharing website more or same on the lines of Hubpages. But there is a good news for all those folks that don't have an adsense account. You can still earn here without having an adsense account.image

It works like this: You create articles known as lens and advertisement is shown on your lenses and the revenue generated from there is accumulated in a common pool and you get paid according to the popularity of your lenses.

Use the below links to learn more about Squidoo.

3| Wizzley.com

A recent addition to list of revenue sharing websites. image

I haven't written any thing on this one but have read and heard good things about this. You can sign up from this link (aff. link).

This was launched in 2011 in the wake of a major algorithm change in Google's search engine known as Google Panda. Wizzley is very similar to Hubpages.

4| Your Blog

So you don't want to write on sites which share revenue. Then go on and create your own blog about something that you have enough knowledge. The key is to write regularly and provide real value to the reader of the blog.image

By providing original and well-written articles that help people they will return back to read more from you.

Just imagine why you buy the newspaper daily or watch the news daily, because they provide you information that is good for you.

Create a blog that people will love to read and comeback for more.

Do Small Task

The internet has opened up many unique models of business. The internet has made the world very short. It can bring many people together for interaction and communication becomes easy.

This is what the below business models do. It takes the advantage of crowd. The below first two sites are crowd-sourcing websites and the third one is another unique way to earn from your skills.

5| Mturk.com

Mechanical Turk as it is called is the place where employers upload task, which are generally short task such as finding an email ID, writing a description of business, transcribing an audio, or to find some specific information on the web.image

The employer or requester may have thousands of task (known as HITs) where workers like you (there would be many) can complete the task and get paid. HITs pay anywhere between 0.2 $ to even .50 $ depending on the employer and the work involved. The task can often be completed within a minute or two and for us Indians we can withdraw the amount in Indian rupees by requesting a cheque.

I have written some extremely pointed hubs detailing every aspect of Mturk, links below. Have a look at them before hoping out to signup.

6| Microworkers.com

Similar to mturk they also operate on the same lines. In my opinion mturk is way ahead when compared with microworkers but they can be used as a substitute when you don't have any suitable work on mturk.image

Another good thing about crowd-sourcing sites are that they don't require any sort of bidding process in order to work on the task.

http://microworkers.com/faq.php - The link provides all the necessary information and the details like how you get paid, what sort of work is involved etc.

7| Fiverr.com

Another unique business model that is great for a side income. List anything that you can do for five dollars and get paid if anyone avails your services.

imageIt is on you what you want to work for; that maybe writing an article, or it can be to be provide a handcrafted greeting card or even singing a birthday song for someone.

Just join the site and most of the things there are easily understandable.

Freelance Sites

If you have been looking to work online for sometime then you must have heard about freelance sites. Below are my personal favorites freelancing websites. Both are really strong in connecting workers with employers.

8| Odesk.com

If you have specific work experience about a certain field then you can bid and work on the projects here.image

Getting projects is very tough on these sites but if you have expertise and have a good portfolio of previous work then it gets easier to get projects. There are many kinds of projects in there but majorly I see writing, web designing, and programming projects.

9| Elance.com

Another site to get freelance work is Elance.

image Both Odesk and Elance guarantee that you will get paid for the work you do and there are many checks and balances in place to benefit both the employers and the freelancers.

I will say that joining more than two freelance sites is more than enough. If you don't get a project despite trying hard then it's time to accept it and move on for other avenues.

Sell Products

10| Ebay.in

Ebay is one of the giants of online shopping. The business model of Ebay is such that anybody can set their own shop and list their products and sell them for a profit.image

Become a seller and start to earn. Let me admit to say that though many are earning here but I haven't yet had any success on Ebay. To sell on Ebay is just like setting your own shop elsewhere. You need to invest money and time to get something out of it. If you are ready to take a plunge then go ahead and make it possible.

Yes, Commission Junction or CJ is one of the biggest affiliate network with many top quality advertisers in its network. You can find advertisers from medicine and garments to the laptop categories. There are more than 1000 advertisers associated with Commission Junction. This is the only network where you can make thousands of dollars promoting even single advertiser.

commission-junction

I started Commission Junction in 2005 and that time I used to work on CJ only. I started with only one advertiser eBay. That time eBay used to pay only on lead basis for confirmed signup. After promoting eBay successfully for 3-4 months, I started promoting with other CJ advertisers as well.

Commission Junction is absolutely free to join and you can signup as a publisher from www.cj.com. Once registered you can login to CJ.com and try to understand its interface. You can find great tutorial at CJU (commission junction university) where you will learn many techniques working as a publisher. Don’t get excited to apply to each and every advertiser there as neither you are going to promote so many advertisers at once nor you will get the approval from each and every advertisers. So first take your time to check for each and every advertiser’s details.

If you are interested to make money by promoting any advertiser from a particular category then you can search the advertiser there category wise or even typing the search keyword in the find box. Shortlist some advertisers and then check the credentials of all the advertisers as CJ provides completes stats about them. And apply to at least 4-5 advertisers. There are chances that you get rejected from some of the advertisers. Either you can start with the approved advertisers or you can contact the relationship manager of the rejected advertisers and tell them about yourself and your way of promotion with convincing email. Mostly they will approve your application. Make a strategy how much you want to make money and how you are going to work for that.

This is our first series of article about CJ. You will receive more articles about tips and working on CJ. you can subscribe to our RSS feed to get the automatic updates or follow us on Facebook page HowToEarnMoney.

Some More Tips for mTurk. Get more in Less Time

So you are just new to Amazon Mechanical Turk and in the mood of making some extra dollars through this online job. You might also be an experienced person in mTurk but still looking to make more from the same efforts. So here are some of the best tips to make more money from mTurk.

If you are new to mTurk, you start with the easiest HITs available so that you get approval for almost all the HITs. The idea here is to increase your approval rate. Many of the Requesters keep most of the HITs for workers with high approval rate.

  • You can pass the qualification test to become eligible for more and more HITs. Check out the qualification tab for this.
  • Check each and every details before you accept the HIT and start completing this.
  • Use Chrome or Firefox to check different details in different tabs. Sort out the things in  different order in different window and compare and check every now and then through the reload button.
  • Once you are used to the system, try to do more and more with highest commission HITs. If you are not able to complete such tasks, try to analyze such HITs on regular basis to develop the skill and then work on high paid HITs.
  • If you think that some of the HITs are not approved even if you have done this properly or requester had not provided much details for that HIT, you can contact the requester directly. This way, you can get the approval for many of your rejected HITs.
  • Try to establish good relation with the requesters. This way, you will always have high approval rate from such requesters and sometime they can send you most of the HITs to you straight away without going to mTurk. This way, they can save the mTurk commission and you get Tasks which are available to you only.
  • Checkout mTurk communities and forums like http://www.turkernation.com/ and www.MturkForum.com and always look for some ideas, share your experience, ask questions etc.

So keep working and make more. Good luck to all Turkers!

Mechanical Turk: Complete Guide to Make Money on Mturk

One of the few websites that pay for your hard work is Mechanical Turk – though it can be small for many people across the world. But it’s still worth a few hours of your time to work on some fun HITs or task.

One thing which is good about Mturk is that there is no fixed time that you should allot to work. It’s like you’re your own boss at Mturk. Plus no phone calls to make or to respond emails. Any time of the day you can log on to your account and start your work, but depends on the type of HITs available at that point of time

Work available is plenty, most of the time to the tune of lakhs (hundred thousand) of HITs. Task that reward from 1 cent to 10 dollars. While most experienced turkers advice not to work on tasks that pay .01 cent. To a new comer the lowest paying HITs is a way to spend some time on doing HITs as well as getting familiar to the interface and the site workflow.

Now for many people who are looking to make money on the Internet and yet haven’t found a genuine website that pays, Mechanical Turk can be the first time that you earn money online. Withdrawing money is prerogative of yours. There is no fixed schedule for withdrawing money; it can be done anytime that you like.

Now let us consider two types of persons that might consider working on Mechanical Turk.

  • Exclusively looking to make money on the Internet.
  • Looking to make a part-time income on the Internet.

Generating a Full-time Income Online

For those who are looking to make a full-time or close to that income on the Internet should consider Mturk only as a part of the whole strategy apart from writing articles on revenue sharing websites such as Hubpages, Squidoo etc. and maintaining their own site.

It’s true that writing articles and maintaining their niche sites is the top way to earn money online, but considering that nobody can write all day along, Mturk is a way to spend some time doing other task. Look to start small by spending some time on Mturk. Slowly and steadily anyone can make at least USD 100 to USD 200 provided you work daily. Not good but not bad at all.

For a Part-time Income

For part-time workers Mturk is really fun to work, consider spending 1-2 hours daily and increase that time at the weekends. Also on weekends the numbers of HITs also go up. Target of USD 100 for the first month is a good start.

10 Points to Keep in Mind.

image

  1. If it’s your first month consider doing HITs which pay less i.e. 1 or 2 cents. Some HITs are adequately priced even at 1 cent such as a requester might tell you to type an 8-digit number from an image in to the form.
  2. As your experience grows try doing only HITs that pay more than one cent. Avoid task which you feel are inappropriately priced. This time your target should be to at least to make three dollars for every work of hour.
  3. Beware of scammers. HITs which require to sign up or ask for personal details should be completed avoided. The task which pay exorbitant reward should also be shunned as they are most probably by scam requester.
  4. Read the Help section and understand which types of HITs are genuine. Task which require creating accounts on third party sites also violate the policies of Mturk; even if the requester pays adequately and promptly. Report HITs that are against the terms and conditions of MTurk from the link “violates the Amazon Mechanical Turk Policies”.
  5. Test the requester before doing large number of HITs. Do a small number of HITs from a requester to check if he pays properly.
  6. Install Turkopticon add-on to your browser. Add-on exists for Firefox and Google Chrome. Using Google chrome will be helpful because its low on memory and is a fast browser compared to others. If you are using Internet Explorer there does not exist a similar add-on. This add-on is a gem; it gives other turkers reviews on a requester who has worked for the requester. Do the same and help in expanding the add-on by adding your reviews.
  7. Surf mturkforum.com for more information on the happenings, and what others have to say about their experiences, also share your experience; ask questions if you have an issue.
  8. Contact a requester if you feel you have been cheated. Very few requesters will respond. Often times it’s a futile exercise, but still consider it to explain your concerns.
  9. Never try to scam Mturk by creating more than one account for a person. Creating more than one account will lead to closing of all accounts and all the earnings will be forfeited. No further explanations are provided. Even though it's not mandatory but operate a single account from a house or IP address; it creates confusion among the fraud detection department of MTurk which may lead to cancellation of accounts.
  10. Work daily in order to make it a viable amount of money at the end of the month. At the most transfer or request money only after 15 days, though not mandatory. Don't get discouraged by negative reviews from other turkers and consider it as fun way to make money.

So, by keeping the above mentioned points in your mind you can definitely make the most of your free time and earn money.

Happy Turking!

How to Make Money Online From Mturk - Genuine and Easy

Spending too much time on Facebook, Twitter or Youtube is just not my cup of tea. If you are also one of those who has an active internet connection and seem to get bored from much of using social media or watching your favorite shows etc.

Now you can take a break and at the same time earn money.

Seems like the many advertisements that you may have read before.

Do you think that you are reading some kind of an advertisement?

The answer is a big NO.

Let me assure you this is not a sales ploy or any such thing to get you involved in any kind of scam. Many of those advertisement stress upon the "fact" that you don't have to work or just have to spend about hour a day and the income is guaranteed.

It doesn't work like that, and never will work like that.

Likely if you are one of those who are a stay at home mom, and are looking for some money to make; at the same time spend adequate time with your children. You may have say half-hour in between of your other chores to work on the net.

No Problem! Mechanical Turk is just for folks like you.

Then there is a genuine opportunity for you to putting your computer to use and make some dollars. The website, mturk.com, comes from the internet's largest shopping site, Amazon.com. Because the site is operated from a trusted source you can be assured of getting the money for which you have worked. One more thing I'm sure that working for this site should not be taken as a substitute for a full-time job. That's why I have made the word "some dollars" bold.

The money which you'll earn can be USD 5 on one day or USD 20 the other day and zero on some days. The money earned is not consistent and depends wholly on the amount of work done.

There are no restrictions that you have to give certain period of time daily; you can work at the time from which you are comfortable. For example, one hour each in morning, afternoon, and evening or say every evening only. There is no dearth of task on mturk - work is there every time, say 2 a.m.

What is Mturk?

The simple answer to your question is that it's just like any other online freelance website. The only difference is that in other freelance websites there is a bidding process, and if you win the bid (which is for most people highly unlikely) then you get to work on that job.

It cuts the unnecessary part of bidding and all that so you can work almost instantly when you signup. The tasks are not as time-consuming like many other freelance jobs, it can take say minute to at the maximum a few hours (which is highly unlikely). Most task will only take a few minutes.

How to Complete Your First Task (HITs) and Get Approved?

In mechanical turk, there are tasks which are known as HITs or Human Intelligence task. When you first signup, which can be done from the site or if you have an amazon.com ID you can use that; your HIT approval rate will be 0%. Hit approval rate is a kind of qualification used for keeping quality-check on the work done.

As with other freelance websites also on mturk there are two parties viz. the workers (i.e. You) and the requestor (i.e. the Job provider).

There are three links at the top when you log on where it says "Your Account", "HITs", and "Qualifications". At this time you should concentrate only on the HITs link. When you click on the HITs link you will see the many task that are available currently.

******Click on the link which says " HITs Available To You "*******

This is because, mturk workers are from all over the world, clicking the link will show the HITs that are available to people from your country of residence, say for example, India. Still there will be many task that will be available for you. Your country of residence is also a kind of Qualification. Means, some requesters want workers from a specific country like USA to do their task.

At the time of writing these are some of the task that were available to me:

  • Find the email and the phone number of each business. Reward: $0.05 HITs Available: 6368
  • Find description of the company. Reward: $0.03 HITs Available: 3195
  • Match places - restaurants/hotels/tourist attractions. Reward: $0.04 HITs Available: 1314

To further explain this, for the first task you have to find the email and the phone number of the business that is provided and the reward that you'll get when the requester approves the task is $0.05, and the number of HITs available is 6368. Means for each completed task you'll get $0.05. Since there are thousands of HITs in that group you can earn more. Like wise there will be other HITs, and for each HIT there will instructions from the requesters that make the process of completing the task easier.

One thing to keep in mind before hoping onto any task is that to accept only those task that you think you'll be able to complete. There is also a time alloted to complete each task which can be 10 minutes for smaller task to any amount of time for the other. If for some reason you accepted a HIT and feel that you can't complete it correctly then "Return the HIT". Returning the HIT means you are returning it for someone else to work. Returning a HIT does not affect your Approval rate and Qualification. More on that later in this article.

Don't unnecessarily accept HITs and submit without doing the work properly. The requester has the option to block you, and if you are blocked by three or more requesters in a short period of time then you'll lose your account and the money accumulated will be forfeited. To avoid that only accept and complete HITs that you are capable of doing.

As you get familiar with the interface and the process the task will get much easier and you can work more confidently and efficiently.

Qualifications and Approval Rate

Each requester will set a specific qualification level which may include different factors. Factors may include such as only from a specific country workers can perform the task. One basic qualification many requester will set is the "HIT Approval rate"; this is the percentage at which you have done your previous work or HITs.

Let us assume if you have done 1000 HITs in total in which 100 HITs were rejected, then your HIT approval rate will be 90 %. HIT approval rate is very important so as to keep you eligible to work on different HITs. Many requesters will set the HIT approval rate between 80 % to 95 %. There are many requesters who do pay genuinely, so don't worry if you have done the task well.

There are also some other HITs which require you to complete some kind of test, after which the HITs can be accepted.

The qualifications link will show you all the qualifications that you have. The link "All Qualifications" shows all the qualification test that you can take so that the next time when they upload another batch of HITs you'll be directly entitled to them without retaking the test.

How to Withdraw Your Money?

To withdraw the money earned from your work is simple and does not take much time. The payment of your work also depends on your place of residence. Mechanical Turk has divided it in three different sections: One for workers from USA, another for Indians, and other for the people from rest of the world.

For workers from USA:

Can receive money in their bank account or through Amazon.com gift card balance. For receiving money in your bank account there is a small process, which ask you to enter some mandatory information to verify your bank account. Once verified you will directly receive the money in your bank account.

For workers from India:

Workers from India can avail the money to be received in form of a check in Indian rupees. There is a verification process which has to be completed before you can request for a check. You have to submit a scanned photo-identity proof, that could be anything from PAN card, Electoral Identity card or Drivers licence. Verification process can take as much as 14 days.

Other option is to receive the money in form of gift card balance.

For workers from rest of the world:

Only option to receive the money is in the form gift card balance.

Make Money Online with Real Media

Founded in 1995 Real Media(now 24/7 Real Media) introduced Open AdStream® technology. As per their site statement it is very easy to get Open AdStream up and running and you can increase your site's revenue potential with 24/7 Real Media. They have some big names around the globe as both advertisers and publishers. 24/7 Real Media offers paid search marketing, and advertisements that include digital advertising, video and rich media advertising to the publishers. Make money online with Real Media.

Unlike other advertising programs I explored earlier, 24/7 Real Media does not really have a very friendly site for publishers. From a publisher's point of view, the joining process is a little cumbersome. In fact, I could not find an on site form for joining their program. You will have to call their representative or email them for more information which is really a tiring affair. Even after spending more than half an hour on their site, I couldn't find a proper FAQ or any details as a publisher I really need to know.

Make money online with Real Media

Also there is no upfront information available on eligibility requirements for participation, payment details, revenue details for publishers, etc. There is a contact form where you can enquire about their products and services and other questions you might have on their publisher program.

Going by the look and feel of their site, I think only big sites with millions of page views per month are allowed to participate. Although it can be a great online money making resource, definitely not for small time publishers who look for simplicity and ready online information on what they are looking for in an advertising program. You can explore 24/7 Real media, just in case I missed out on anything.

The Biggest List Of Google Adsense Alternatives On The Net

Make money onlineclip_image001

When it comes to online advertising Google Adsense, undoubtedly is the leader. If you follow their guidelines and TOS you can make good money from Adsense. Most of the blogs and sites depend on Google Adsense for revenue. But not all webmasters and publishers are happy with Adsense and are constantly looking for alternate sources for revenue. Sometimes Google just bans a publisher account for click fraud or not adhering to their policy or take away their earnings citing invalid clicks. And no further explanations are given. As a publisher or a blogger you have to look for alternate revenue sources, even if you are holding an Adsense account. There are many ad programs that you can run along with Adsense ads.

Google will not release payments unless you reach the minimum payout of $100, which may take a small blogger or publisher ages to reach. Recent news about Adsense cutting payments to publishers are another concern for small publishers. There are other ad networks with much lower minimum payouts that they can try.

Making money online

Many people have found success without using Adsense. John Chow made $23,448.59 in October, 2007 without a penny from Adsense. All of his earnings are from private ad sales, affiliate commissions, ReviewMe, Text Link Ads, Kontera, TTZ Media, subscriptions and ShoppingAds. Everton at Connected Internet made $15,179 during the same period out of which only $4,904 came from Google Adsense.

It might be intersting for bloggers from India to know that Thilak at TechBuzz made $3061.30 in April 2007 without using Adsense(this data is currently not available as the blog is revamped now). For the webmasters who are either not accepted into the AdSense program, or do not want to use Adsense ads, these Google Adsense alternatives will be worth having a look. The list contains more than 180 adsense alternative sources which contains everything from CPM, CPA, CPL, CPC, Shopping networks, Contextual ad programs and affiliate networks.

Who is a New Bloggers or Web owners

Who is a new blogger or  web owner?

  1. Your Blog or website is just one year old
  2. Your Blog has a PR less than 2
  3. Your Alexa Rank is > 100,000
  4. You receive 100-300 visitors daily
  5. Total number of your posts are less than 60-50

If you fit into this category and you lost your account then you don't have to worry because you honestly have lost nothing! Without 1000-10,000 daily visitors, Adsense or any other Ad service is meaning less. It will take 5-6 months for you to make just $50-100 if you fit in the above category. So what should be the best solution for you?

You still can make your dream come true and earn a happy living online by taking these steps:

  1. Make a new Gmail Account with different First and Second Name and Personal Info.

  2. Setup a New blogger account with the new Gmail ID

  3. Delete your Old Blog and Import your old posts to this new one by making serious Editing. Do not republish those posts with the same titles and starting paragraph and blogger images. Shuffle the paragraphs. The best idea is to rewrite them in different words. I know this will take long but you can do that within a week if your posts are no more than 50.

  4. If your blogger account and Gmail ID is not very old and crowded then the best is to delete both of them and make a new fresh start. Don't worry this step is smart long term one, it will hurt you at first but you will be in a much better state later.

  5. If you want to keep your blogger account and Gmail ID then its better to set up a blog with upgraded Wordpress and not the free one.

  6. Do not Link to your old blog after you have set up the new one.

How am I so sure of these steps? My own home buddy lost his Adsense Account. He receives 16000 daily visitors by sharing security threat articles. He set up a blog on wordPress and now he is receiving 2000-3000 visitors on the new blog with $2-4 per day, which is not a bad startup.

12 CPM Alternatives to Adsense

Video content publishers face a unique capitalization challenge on the internet today. Sites that rely on new media for the bulk of their content are unable to earn as much from Adsense as those sites that feature more traditional written articles.

Improving CPM in a New Media Era

There are CPM alternatives to the pay-per-click model that can offer video content publishers better monetization than Adsense. These impression based publishing networks have often been around for many years, while some are new to the field and thus have less stringent traffic requirements. While the CPM amount that can be earned varies depending on the niche and number of unique visitors/pageviews per month, for new media publishers this amount is often higher than Adsense revenue.

The following publishers are ordered by their traffic requirements, in parentheses.

AdsDaq (no requirement) – While they only provide CPM ads to specific countries, their ability to display backup ads from any network makes them an easy first choice for somebody looking to test the waters of the CPM market.

Ad Dynamix – (no requirement) – While not quite as intuitive as AdsDaq, their minimal requirements make Ad Dynamix quite approachable even though their customer support is poor.

ValueClick (3,000 pageviews per month) – While their pageview requirements are quite low, ValueClick is known to be picky with the type of site they will approve.

Morning Falls (10,000 pageviews per month) – A relatively low traffic requirement, solid customer service, simple implementation and easy to understand reports make this a good CPM publisher for beginners.

CPX Interactive (10,000 pageviews per month) – A relatively new face on the advertising scene, CPX Interactive offers good integration and solid reporting. Meeting the traffic requirements is not always good enough, however, as their internal approval process is on the strict side.

Burst Media (20,000 pageviews per month) – Burst Media is an intermediate advertising publisher. Their overly-complicated integration and reports, as well as their poor customer service hold them back from the upper echelon of advertising networks.

Casale Media (10,000 unique visitors per month) – A good intermediate ad publisher, perfect for an established site that has not quite reached A-List status just yet. Casale Media handles larger sites as well, making them a good long-term choice for many sites.

Tribal Fusion (60,000 unique visitors per month) – A solid pay scale, depending on your niche. Tribal Fusion represents hundreds of sites with a wide range of categories.

Brightroll (100,000 video views and 250,000 pageviews per month) – Along with Video Egg, Brightroll is the only other advertising publisher on this list that is truly centered on new media. Their video view requirement automatically puts them in the advanced category.

Adtegrity (500,000 pageviews per month) – While their orange and green color scheme may make you scratch your head, Adtegrity is known for their quality customer service and is quickly becoming a leader in the advertising network field.

Advertising.com (2 million pageviews per month) – One of the heavy hitters of online ad publishing, their high pageview entry point means only well-established sites need apply.

Video Egg (10 million video views per month) – The cream of the new media crop, Video Egg concentrates entirely on advertising in online videos.

Conclusion

Once a new media site has obtained a solid audience a close examination will reveal that Adsense simply doesn’t have as much clout as it should. As your site grows, consider other advertising methods and networks. Your bottom line will appreciate your efforts.
